Desde hace varios años tengo una constante molestia frente a todos mis conocidos. Molestar que no he podido canalizar de buena forma.
Hace algunos años también escribí sobre esto, pero en aquella época los blogs apenas existían y no tuve oportunidad de exponer estos planteamientos que se quedaron pendientes en mi cabeza.
A lo que voy es que, a quien no le pasa que está un poco cansado de la pregunta que más solemos hacer: ¿Cómo estay?
Su uso está vulgarizado hasta un punto que es crítico.
En todos los sistemas de comunicación instantánea le hemos dado un sitio preferencial inmerecido, como si fuera un deber. Todos hacen la pregunta y a muchos ni les interesa la respuesta. Y la contracara es igual. A los que responden también les da lo mismo. A nadie le importa realmente, pero es como una voluntaria obligación, quizá como automático sistema de entrada en diálogo, quizá simplemente por el decir algo y no saber qué.
Pero esto trasciende planos. A nivel de relaciones personales también suele pasar lo mismo. Es común que en encuentros de pasillo o casuales, incluso indeseados, se haga la misma preguntita y es también común que la comunicación ya se haya acabado antes de terminar la respuesta.
Dije que me parecía preocupante porque esa pregunta en sí solo debería realizarse cuando uno se interesa por saber del otro.
Cuando pregunto eso, trato de hacérsela a gente que me interesa su respuesta. Gente que no he visto hace mucho o de la que no he sabido nada, pero cuando la hago, tengo que repetirla dos veces para asegurarme que la respuesta que yo pido sea sincera y no superficial, como es lo habitual en Chile.
A la gente que veo o que hablo con ellos todos los días nunca les pregunto eso, excepto que sienta que algo no está bien. Por lo general, trato de ocupar otras alternativas para suplir el mismo vacío y darle el sentido verdadero que tiene esa pregunta y no vulgarizarlo, pero no hay caso.
Por ejemplo: ¿Cómo estuvo tu día?
Un día, con evento social incluido, traté de contar las veces que sufrí esa pregunta y el resultado fue alarmante; perdí la cuenta después de pasar las veinte veces, aunque de todos modos no se agotaron allí.
¿Habrá manera de erradicar esta tendencia?
