Esta es una serie limpia, sin ruido, que te plantea un viaje en el tiempo junto a un transitar constante de preciosos animales. Es real, pragmática, de alta moral feminista.
Godless es un culto a la época del viejo Western americano, con una libertad salvaje de colores en pantalla, dándole un tono visual que sorprende sobre una fotografía preciosa.
El sentido de la trama es la historia de un personaje emblemático cualquiera, tipo Billy The Kid o quizás un Robin Hood anónimo, imbatible y prodigioso.
Está sobre sostenida en musicalización, con harto piano y violín intentando no excederse. Por ende, hay bastante uso de la música y los sonidos al contar la historia, mientras la dirección evita de esta manera los tiempos muertos, tan habituales en estos contenidos clásicos de tránsito lento. Pero acá esto va al ritmo de excelentes diálogos, muy particulares y trabajados, lo que es muy bueno para construir un conjunto simétrico que avanza como lo desea.
No es la mejor, ni aporta elementos nuevos al género, sin embargo, es entretenida, con una producción de calidad y por último, el guion es circular y consecuente, termina como corresponde a su desarrollo*.

Abundante cinemáticas flashback que no se consiguieron bien respecto, comparativamente, al resto de la producción.
Mucho guiño –casual o intencional- a la gran serie de HBO Deadwood. Tomas muy semejantes –hasta diría que casi copiadas– y además, de nuevo unos millonarios de apellido Pinkerton o similar.
Destacable la interpretación y la construcción del personaje de Merritt Wever como Mary Agnes, la hermana algo obesa con un carácter sólido.
Ojo con Jeff Daniels y su rol, no tanto por la excelente actuación, sino por su equilibrio que da al elenco en el conjunto.
